by Dow it is EPA registered, USDA approved, pa-
tented technology that is water based, made in the
USA, environmentally friendly, proven effective and
has an indefinite life span. This is the only product
available that does not leach, off gas, poison or en-
capsulate mold and mildew or bacteria as any other
product does. It physically destroys them.

Think of FloorSafe as a layer of electrically charged
swords. When a microorganism comes in contact
with the treated surface, the quaternary amine sword
punctures the cell membrane and the remnants then
       are electrocuted.

Since nothing is transferred to the now dead cell, the
antimicrobial does not lose its strength, and the
sword is ready for the next cell. (Note: Normal
cleaning of the treated surfaces is necessary for
FloorSafe antimicrobials to continue their effective-
ness. Dirt buildup, paint, dead microbes, etc. will
cover the treatment, preventing it from killing micro-
organisms.) It can be applied to any surface for pen-
nies. There is nothing like it for flooring but it’s also
safe for all surfaces and can be used anywhere.

FloorSafe can be applied below or on hard and soft
flooring. The technology is also available for use on
any surface in schools, apartments, health care,
gyms or anyplace there are people and spores float-
ing around – which is everywhere. If you don’t think
this is an issue you need to be aware of and be part
of the solution you’re kidding yourself.

I’m always looking for the void in the market place
that can be filled with a solution to prevent problems
associated with flooring from occurring or correcting
them when they do. FloorSafe is something that
does just that with a long history and it’s something
the industry at all levels needs to be involved in now.
The flooring industry has always been proactive and
this technology, with a long proven record, will allow
us to continue to be so.
